-
Who are TrialPay's merchant partners?
TrialPay works with more than 7,500 industry leaders in software, games, publishing, online services and retail, including McAfee, Match.com, The Wall Street Journal, Papa John's, Photobucket and more.
-
Who advertises with TrialPay?
TrialPay has a roster of 2,000 blue-chip advertisers, such as Gap, Blockbuster, Netflix, Discover and FTD.
-
Will I have to sign a contract to advertise with TrialPay?
No. If you aren’t seeing the results you want with TrialPay, you may discontinue use at any time.
-
How much will advertising with TrialPay cost me?
With TrialPay's pay-for-performance advertising, you only pay when you acquire a new customer—which means you get thousands of clicks and impressions absolutely free. Plus, there are no set-up costs. You set the Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) to pay when you acquire a new customer and pay the same flat rate every time.
-
What’s a CPA?
A CPA, or Cost Per Acquisition, is the amount you pay when you acquire a new customer. Your CPA is directly related to the amount of traffic your ad receives. Each merchant partner sets the lowest amount it is willing to accept for a sale, and TrialPay matches customers with offers that pay out at least the merchant partner’s minimum. A higher CPA significantly increases your exposure across the TrialPay network and boosts your ranking within the TrialPay platform. Your TrialPay account manager can test several different CPAs to reach your optimal level of exposure and can immediately alter your CPA based on the results.
-
What’s a MAP?
The MAP, or Minimum Acceptable Payout, is the minimum price a merchant partner will accept for its product or service. TrialPay pairs advertisers with merchants based on the advertisers' CPA. For example, if a merchant partner sets a MAP of $25, an advertiser's CPA must be at least $25 to be exposed to that particular merchant's traffic.
-
What is the best amount to set for my CPA?
When calculating your CPA, consider your Average Order Value and the lifetime value of gaining a new customer. A higher CPA significantly increases your exposure to merchant traffic and boosts your ranking within the TrialPay platform. The TrialPay network is constantly expanding, so a competitive CPA is key to ensuring the best placement for your ad. Our dedicated account management team allows you to test different CPAs to find the best-performing CPA for your ad.
-
How much traffic can I expect if I advertise on the TrialPay network?
TrialPay drives tens of thousands of new customer acquisitions on a monthly basis for our advertisers. The amount of traffic your ad receives depends on several factors, including CPA, overall conversion and how your offer resonates with customers. TrialPay has more than 20 million registered users, and we continue to add new sources of traffic every day.
-
How are TrialPay's ad offers displayed to customers?
When a customer selects the TrialPay payment option, he is directed to a catalog of advertiser offers, where our sophisticated Optimization Engine organizes offers into categories, such as Music/DVDs/Games, Most Popular or Financial. Within each of these pages, our Optimization Engine displays ads in order of CPA, conversion rate and the intrinsic value of the offer to the customer.
-
How can I become a "Featured Offer?"
TrialPay offers several premium placement opportunities to optimize your ad performance, including "Featured Offer" status. Contact your account manager to learn more.
-
What do "Credits in Day" and "Credits Instantly" mean?
TrialPay displays the offer completion time next to each offer in our catalog to let customers know when they will receive their free product. The completion time is based on how long it takes for an advertiser to notify us after a customer completes an offer. Offer completion times can vary from advertiser to advertiser.
For offers that credit instantly, advertisers place a pixel on their confirmation page that notifies TrialPay instantly when a customer completes an offer. Other advertisers use a delayed approval process. For example, some credit card companies notify us when a customer’s application is approved, which can take up to 10 days. -
Can I advertise through a network, such as Commission Junction and LinkShare?
TrialPay can easily work through a network. However, we highly recommend implementing a direct tracking pixel from TrialPay to enhance the user experience and ensure better offer performance. Additionally, network commission fees lower your overall CPA, which can negatively affect your offer's performance.
-
How do you prevent customers from trying to scam the system?
TrialPay uses sophisticated fraud technology to analyze user behavior and weed out deceptive users. Our dedicated account managers also work closely with advertisers to monitor user quality. If we find a traffic source that’s not sending you the type of traffic you want, we’ll immediately turn that source off.

Purchase Incentives
-
How will my purchase incentive be used?
Our merchant partners present your purchase incentive to customers as a compelling reason to complete their purchases. Customers receive your purchase incentive upon completing a transaction, which drives them to your site with the intent to purchase. By offering a purchase incentive, you get free brand exposure on our partners' sites and acquire new, high-quality customers—for free. You'll never pay for clicks, impressions or acquisitions.
-
What kind of exposure will I get?
Your purchase incentive will be shown to millions of high-quality customers shopping with some of the biggest brands on the Web. Each merchant partner who opts to use your purchase incentive will display your offer as a compelling reason for customers to complete their purchases, which means you will have access to traffic from more than 7,500 premier partner sites, including WeightWatchers, Fandango and Match.com.
-
What should I offer as a purchase incentive?
A purchase incentive can be anything—a gift card, trial membership, discount or free product—as long as it’s compelling enough to influence customers' shopping patterns. The most effective purchase incentives are worth at least what you would normally pay to acquire a customer, such as a $25 gift card, extended trial or a free upgrade. By offering a more appealing purchase incentive, more of our partners will choose to feature your incentive on their site—which means more free exposure for your brand.
-
How much will it cost to add my purchase incentive offer to TrialPay's network?
Offering your purchase incentive through TrialPay is absolutely free. You'll never pay for clicks, impressions or acquisitions—you always advertise for free. And you'll always come out ahead because the lifetime value of the customers you acquire is worth significantly more than the value of the incentive you offer. Instead of paying a CPA to TrialPay, you pass on that value directly to the customer. In return, you'll acquire loyal customers with long-term value for your brand.
-
Can I get paid for my purchase incentive?
If your purchase incentive is compelling enough, our partners may be willing to pay for your incentive. This means that advertisers with the most attractive offers can earn some extra cash with every sale—in addition to the valuable customer acquisition. This is decided on a case-by-case basis with each participating partner and is generally only arranged for those who offer a free product as an incentive.
