How does it work?
TrialPay is the only payment option that increases a customer’s willingness to pay. Visa, MasterCard, Google Checkout and other payment options don't do anything to increase conversions, but TrialPay significantly boosts sales from your current traffic by giving your customers thousands of ways to pay through their favorite brands.
Customers pay for your product by sending flowers from FTD, buying clothes from the Gap, subscribing to Netflix or choosing from thousands of other offers. TrialPay uses money from the advertiser (FTD, Gap or Netflix in this example) to pay for your product, which you then give to the customer for free. You make a new sale and acquire a customer with remarketing potential. Shoppers get a great deal and a feeling of loyalty.
With TrialPay’s Get It Free model, everyone wins: online sellers make new sales, advertisers acquire new customers and shoppers get a free product.

When do I get paid?
TrialPay pays you on the 15th of every month by check, bank wire, direct deposit or PayPal. All payments for a particular month will be aggregated and sent in one lump sum by the 15th of the following month. Payments are guaranteed.
-
What is the value of an offer?
The value of each offer varies. For example, a credit card offer may pay $50 while a music service may pay $25. You can see the category and payout for each transaction from the Reports tab in the Merchant Panel. You will always be paid at least the minimum you request for each transaction and often much more.
-
How does optimization work?
The TrialPay payment platform is designed to maximize the total payout to our sellers. Our sophisticated Optimization Engine matches customers with individually targeted offers from premier brands. Key data points, such as gender, browser type, IP address, historic conversion rates and geographic location, determine which offers are mostly likely to convert with the highest transaction value. And you can import customer attributes to tailor offers even more.
For example, if a credit card offer pays $50 but has a conversion rate of 1% and an entertainment offer (such as a music service) pays $20 but has conversion of 5%, then the music service will net twice the amount of the credit card. You would receive only $50 for every hundred customers we send through the credit card offer versus $100 for every hundred customers who choose the music service offer. TrialPay's Optimization Engine automatically selects the higher payout option for you!
-
Does TrialPay work internationally?
TrialPay provides local, relevant offers in more than 100 countries. Local offers ensure higher conversions, and TrialPay pays you for all transactions in one monthly check, wire transfer or PayPal payment.
TrialPay localizes the checkout process in French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Finish, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese and Swedish, in addition to English. More localized checkouts are coming soon.
-
What is MAP (Minimum Acceptable Payout)? Why set a MAP lower than my product price?
The "MAP" is the lowest amount you will accept per transaction and determines which offers appear in your checkout. The lower your minimum, the more likely you are to make a conversion, as more offers will be available. Customers never see the value of an advertising offer, so you can effectively charge less in certain situations without devaluing your product. While you may choose a minimum lower than your standard price, the average payout you receive is usually significantly higher than the minimum you set.
For instance, if a credit card offer completion pays you $50 and an online game offer pays you $20, you average $35/unit for these two transactions. Having a lower minimum allows the $20 sales as well as the $50 sales—and customers never know that you accepted less than your regular price!
-
Can I set different minimums for specific countries?
Yes. In fact, we strongly recommend that you do. For example, charging $100 where the per capita GDP is $1,000 is simply not going to work. With our platform, you can set region-specific pricing. TrialPay never discloses the value of an offer to customers, eliminating the regional price discrepancy issues that plague many online sellers.
For instance, if you set a minimum of $30 in the United States, you could set a minimum of $5 in Brazil for the same product. This enables you to monetize customers in various countries without disclosing the fact that you're accepting a lower price.
And remember, because of the spectrum of payout values and the fact that most of our partners pay significantly more than your minimum, your average payout will greatly exceed the minimums you set.
-
How do I know when a customer completes a TrialPay offer?
TrialPay provides several options for receiving transaction notifications. We can e-mail you every time a transaction completes, or you can easily set up script notifications from within our system. Our Merchant Panel also provides real-time reporting, which includes the details of each transaction. And you can have reports generated automatically and sent to you at certain intervals via our FTP system.
-
What is my commitment to TrialPay (duration of partnership, cost, resources, time)?
Zero. If you don't like the results, simply stop using us. The TrialPay payment platform is absolutely free to use. We never charge you for payment processing. We never charge you for customer support. We never charge you—period!
